Help raise $30,000 for the community of Stanwood Camano.
PAF is a registered non-profit organization in Namibia, dedicated to addressing gender-based violence (GBV), suicide prevention, mental health challenges, and cybercrime. Our mission is to provide resources, tools, and safe spaces for individuals, victims, and survivors to heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
Through initiatives like the Popya Mobile App, awareness campaigns, media outreach, and empowering publications, we strive to inspire change, build resilience, and create a society where everyone feels safe, supported, and heard.
Who We Are
Popya Assistance Foundation (PAF) derives its name from the Oshiwambo word “Popya,” meaning “speak out.” Our mission is to give a voice to the unheard, break the silence on critical social issues, and drive positive change.
We are a passionate team of advocates, educators, and changemakers dedicated to addressing some of society’s most pressing challenges. Led by Co-Founder Leonard Akathingo, author and mental health activist, PAF brings together experts, survivors, and community partners to drive meaningful impact.
At PAF, we believe that together, we can break the silence, dismantle stigma, and build a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Our Causes
At Popya Assistance Foundation, we are committed to creating lasting change through three key causes: GBV Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, and Literature & Education. These pillars drive our mission to empower individuals, break societal stigmas, and promote healing.
Literature & Education
With 13 published books, we use literature to educate, inspire, and empower individuals. Covering mental health, personal growth, and societal change, our books spark meaningful conversations. 50% of all earnings are donated to support our charity work, helping us drive impact and transform lives.
