Mr. Leonard Akathingo, President and Co-founder of Popya Assistance Foundation (PAF), was invited to speak at an event in Helao Nafidi, organized by the One Economy Foundation, an initiative spearheaded by former First Lady Mrs. Monica Geingos.

In his presentation, titled “Boys Do Cry,” Mr. Akathingo shared his personal journey of battling depression and suicidal thoughts, and how he overcame those challenges. Drawing from his book, “Swallow Your Pride: It’s Normal to Cry as a Man,” he emphasized the importance of seeking help, recognizing signs of distress in others, and breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
